Supervisor Removal Operative

Do you have experience running Removals?

We are looking for someone who can handle responsibility in overseeing a team of removal operatives. To be organised, have an eye for detail and the ability to foresee any problems that may arise. You would be the first port of call for our customers, so we are looking for someone who is confident, friendly, and approachable. Experience essential.


Removal Drivers

Working as part of the Removals Team, this role requires the employee to drive HGV’s or and 3.5 tonne Luton vehicles, and carry out all aspects of the removal process (including packing) from house to house and into and out of store and on commercial premises. The vehicle is your responsibility from time of pick up to drop off. It also always requires the employee to deliver outstanding customer service. You must be 25 years of age or over and have held a driver’s licence for 3 years or more.


Removal Operatives

We are looking for experienced removal operatives. Whether you are self - employed looking for more hours or are already an established removal team. Duties would include moving household items, furniture, and goods to new properties or into storage. You would be part of a team and ensure the moves are carried out professionally from start to finish. Safely packaging items before removal or storage.

You could be:

· carrying heavy objects such as household appliances

  • packing items into the vehicle in a certain order, making sure that everything is fixed securely

  • driving the vehicle or accompanying the driver

  • unloading the vehicle and unpacking boxes, using padding materials to separate and protect boxed items

  • putting large pieces of furniture back together

  • positioning furniture in its new location

Conditions:

  • Depending on the nature of each job, you could travel either long or short distances.

  • If travelling longer distances, you might spend some nights away from home.

  • You might often work long and irregular hours.

  • You would have to lift and carry heavy items.

  • You would be working in all weathers.

  • You would usually work in a small team.

  • You might work early mornings and some weekends.

You need to be:

  • fit, energetic and hard working

  • honest and reliable

  • careful with fragile or valuable goods

  • pleasant and helpful with people

  • able to relay instructions and use own initiative.

You need to have:

  • knowledge of health and safety

  • the ability to work as part of a team

  • stamina.
